In keeping with the mission of providing the most effective pre-paredness in fire protection and life-saving, TEXOGA Technologies has developed a special business unit called TEXOGA Fire Technologies Inc. (TFT). This group is tasked to bring on-line new safety products and systems that come from the defense industry where billions of dollars are spent on research. Many of these products are proprietary and have only recently been released to the private sector. In addition, Texoga Fire Technologies sponsors it own research and development into technologies of the future. Click Here to go to the Jumbo Fire Tank Web site. One of the most critical tasks for coalition and provisional government forces in Iraq is the daily sweeping of roads for IEDs (improvised explosive devices). These are mines, bombs or explosive shells that are wired for detonation by cell phones or radio frequency emission devices. (Texogatech Product Sheet) Current TFT products include the FFT 5000 Fire-Fighting Tank for fire containment in remote areas. This vehicle – developed by Europe's largest defense contractor KRAUSS MAFFEI-WEGMANN – is designed with extensive off-road and land-clearing capabilities and consists of a 5,000 gallon foam delivery system mounted on the reliable Leopard I tank chassis. The integrated nuclear, biological, and chemical (NBC) protection system of the Leopard 1 protects the crew against smoke and toxic gases and allows this vehicle to operate where no commercial unit can go. Conversely, its mountable high tech rubberized pads for the tracks enable it to be driven on public roads. Coupled with the above features and the capability to be transported on a commercial trailer, this vehicle can be deployed to respond to the most hazardous fire situations. The unit is best suited for forest fires, harbor and industrial fire-fighting, tunnel tires and refinery and petrochemical remote sites (desert and jungle).

TFT also offers various types of fire-resistant fuels (FRF) under the SAFuel name which are the result of decades of U.S. and European research in fuel types, surfactants and emulsions. These fuels are designed for use in conventional engines with little or no modifications. They have been shown to reduce vapor, fire, and explosion incidence in ignition or ballistic penetration cases. These unique fuel mixtures also prove to be self extinguishing in pooling fires and therefore eliminate secondary explosions. As an added benefit, the FRF blends improve engine thermal efficiencies and prolong engine life. Additional studies indicate reduced exhaust particulate emissions (less smoke) and a long shelf life. Because there is always a potential fire hazard present either in storing diesel fuel or using it to drive a vehicle, TFT will be offering both mixed products and chemical additives for distribution to the commercial market.

Future Texoga developments include halon replacement units, advanced fire suppression compounds, and new fire equipment systems from some of the world's leading developers. The TFT group will continue to advance the state of the art in fire and explosion prevention as well as offer the finest new products available under its one-stop-shopping concept.
