DETO-STOP TO BE INSTALLED IN LEOPARD II MAIN BATTLE TANKS |

Houston, Texas – October 29, 1999 – Deto-Stop, Inc. announces that its European partner Texoga GmbH has just received an order for its Deto-Stop Explosion Prevention product to be installed in Leopard II main battle tanks. The initial order for 113,000 liters of fuel tank filler material outfits over 100 tanks and is expected to increase until a total of 400 tanks are retrofitted by Krauss-Maffei/Wegmann, Europe's largest defense contractor. With Leopard II tanks estimated to be valued at $7 million per tank, this potentially represents protection of over $2.8 billion in military assets.
Michael Spath, president of Texoga in Munich, Germany stated that "This order represents the continuation of our main battle tank enhancement program that began seven years ago. With this program we will have increased the survivability in over 1,000 Leopard tanks."
The Deto-Stop Explosion Prevention system is a proprietary aluminum alloy mesh fuel tank filler that prevents explosions by absorbing the heat from a propagating flame wave. Used in over nine countries, Deto-Stop protects police vehicles, marine fleets, limousines and the world's most sophisticated military equipment from fire and explosions.
